Drink More Water
This you can do right now. Why? Around 60% of the human body is water, and if you were to be completely honest with yourself, are you drinking enough water?
Let’s look at when and why we should be drinking water.
As Soon As You Wake Up
When you are getting out of bed in the morning, the first thing you should do is to drink a big glass of water. Drink 2. Drink until you feel replenished. When we sleep, we are losing so much water. Drinking water as the first thing of the day catalyses your metabolism and fuels you with energy. Yes, water gives us energy.
Before and After Meals
Drink a glass of water before eating your meal and chug one down after the meal. You will not only feel more full, but your body will digest the food better, getting the most out of the nutrition you just took in. With the increased water intake around meals, there will be less room for excess calories in your stomach. The less calories you consume, the faster you will lose weight.

Before, During, and After exercise
Exercise is very, very tough to do in the heat. Not being properly hydrated does not make it any easier. We sweat during exercise – We want that. If we don’t have water in our system, we’re making it harder than necessary for our body to thrive.
Make sure you drink water before, during and after working out. Bring a bottle with you to the gym or for your walk.
After a workout, even a light one, our body starts burning more calories. The “afterburn” effect some call it. If we do more exercise and get in better shape, our body temperature rises and calls for more water to cool it down. This happens because having bigger muscles uses more energy – which includes water. So remember to put some in it!
When Your Body Calls For It
Got a headache? Drink water. Feeling tired or low on energy? Drink water. Constipated? Water. Muscle cramps and joint pain? Water.
Instead of reaching for the pain killers and headache medicine as the first thing, try a glass of water. Headaches, tiredness, constipation, muscle cramps and joint pain are many times symptoms of being dehydrated. Reach for a glass of water! Have 2! It’s only gonna do you good.
