Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 medium-sized tomato, diced
- ½ red onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped – Or herb of your choice
- Juice of 1 lime – Or lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Mash the avocados using a fork or potato masher until you achieve your desired level of smoothness.
- Fold in the diced tomato, finely chopped red onion, fresh cilantro and juice of 1 lime or lemon. ensuring an even distribution throughout the guacamole.
- Season the guacamole with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to your preference.
- Gently mix until well combined.
- Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl, or serve straight from the mixing bowl.
- Dive into the creamy richness of this guacamole with tortilla chips or use it as a delightful topping for your favorite dishes.
Pro Tip: If you don’t have a citrus fruit, you can add a tablespoon of juice! Apple juice, orange juice – Whatever. It will add the acidity we are looking for.
